Fly rod

Grip : Usually made of cork
Reel : Should be large enough to hold the line needed for the type of fishing made
Ferrule : Joints that connect the sections of multiple-piece rods
Guide : Made of graphite or an alloy
Rod Blank : Made of 2 to 5 bamboo or graphite pieces
Line : 90 to 105 feet, made of plastic coated braided nylon of various colours
Leader : Invisible monofilament that tapers down in size between the line and the fly
Tippet : The smallest section of the leader where the fly is attached.

Actions of the Fly Rod

Fast : Loop speed is faster, more distance; better in wind
Slow : Delicate landing of the fly
Long casting stroke : A longer line length is achieved
Long casting stroke : Restricted area, more pressure in fighting a hooked fish
